工作内容

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of the Development Business Unit, the Sales/Marketing Assistant is responsible for the following duties:Promotion/Marketing•Conceptualizes and drafts promotional copy for use in different marketing channels, including advertising, direct mail, Internet, e-mail and social media; provides periodic reports.•Conceptualizes and creates graphic material for varied print and electronic media projects such as brochures, catalogues, flyers, posters, and online newsletters.•Prepares and coordinates inclusion of new material in the website; converts documents into HTML; prepares and incorporates graphics as needed using Photoshop or other graphic design software; uploads new promotional material to appropriate directories using FTP.•Assists in the development of questionnaire surveys and the analysis of the results and coordinates market research and related activities.•Coordinates elements of annual marketing plan in such areas as direct mail/email, advertising, exhibit, book review and other related programmes; provides schedule and cost estimates, liaises with vendors, prepares periodic reports.•Coordinates the Section’s activities with other UN Departments, Agencies and Programmes involved in the sales of publications.Sales/Customer Support•Handles credit applications and opening of accounts for new customers; researches inquiries and prepares/signs off on relevant communications; monitors status of accounts, investigates discrepancies and initiates action of correcting inconsistencies, identifies issues and recommends actions to supervisor on problem accounts. Maintains in-house databases by entering and updating subscription related data; provides periodic reports.•Accepts and processes subscription and licensing requests; coordinates and follows-up with relevant units to ensure timely provision of on-line access and communicates with the subscriber or licensee; sends renewals notices/invoices, reminders; responds to questions on status of subscription requests. •Monitors customer feedback. •Investigates claims on subscription status, adjustments or refunds; gathers supporting documentation; reconciles discrepancies and submits to supervisor for appropriate action.Other•Provides administrative support; verifies invoices for payment; processes, drafts and finalizes correspondence and other communications; sets up and maintains files/records; monitors deadlines.•Works closely with Administrative Assistant to ensure there is no discrepancy between status of subscriptions and incoming payments.•Provides guidance/training to junior staff, as required; may undertake supervisory functions in an acting capacity.•Performs other duties as assigned.

•PROFESSIONALISM: Knowledge of principles and practices pertaining to the promotion, sale and distribution of publications. Ability to design, develop and execute marketing and promotion of publications. Knowledge of different communication tools and media, including web-based media, for efficient outreach and ability to measure, analyze and report on the impact of such activities. Ability to produce a variety of written communications products in a clear, concise style. Ability to deliver oral presentations to various audiences. Knowledge of database management. Ability to manage relationship with clients. Shows pride in work and in achievements; demonstrates professional competence and mastery of subject matter; is conscientious and eff
